Mt Shasta Camp started by accident. When a now defunct fiddle camp for which we'd been hired folded, our friend and dedicated co-planner Carol gave us a gentle shove, and we found ourselves running a music camp on less than 1 month's notice. We've been directing Shasta since, and learned some invaluable lessons in the process. Each person who comes to camp contributes, and we feel so fortunate to be able to bring this music community together for a week. It's come a long way since 2005.

Shasta is for people who are passionate about playing music.

The incredible and varied classes, wholesome tasty food, hiking and swimming, insane nightly instructor concerts, dances, and yes, jamming day and night, all contribute to the experience that is Shasta.
